Meet the Pastors

Reverend Elwin "Sam" Campbell was born in Terrell Texas and grew up in Oak Cliff Texas. He attended Paris Junior College, Texas A&M Commerce, Southwest Seminary, Assembly of God Seminary, and graduated from Perkins School of Theololgy. Sam was in military service for twelve to thirteen years and been in ministry for forty-eight years. He was mentored by his four preaching uncles and a circuit riding grandfather. Sam is dedicated to saving all that is possible before death. He says, "If you want to know more about me, please ask my church members, past and present, I'll let them speak for me."

Zack was called to be the Associate Pastor at The Old Country Church in Bowie, TX in February 2024 and Ordained on June 16, 2024. Zack currently serves as a bi-vocational minister. He is passionate about preaching and teaching the Gospel to those who are far from God, and aiding those who are near to God grow in maturity in their knowledge and love of Christ. 

Born and raised on the plains of West Texas in Amarillo to a faithful, believing household, Zack and his two younger sisters were raised in the community of First Baptist Church in Amarillo, where Zack first heard the Gospel. Through the education of his family and church community, and the leading of the Holy Spirit, Zack professed faith on October 29, 1995 and was baptized on November 5, 1995. 

As an adult, Zack became exposed to Anglican theology and worship. He is deeply appreciative for his exposure and time with the Anglican church, which the Lord used to further deepen his love for Christ and His Church. Zack also attributes this part of his spiritual journey as developing Zack into a self-proclaimed “Theology and Church History Nerd,” and loves chatting about anything related. Notable influences on Zack’s theological development and spiritual formation include Tim Keller, Matt Chandler, Tim Mackie, Dallas Willard, NT Wright, and numerous others. Zack married the love of his life, Cortnee Taylor, on March 14, 2022. 

In his down time, Zack loves nothing more than just being in the company of his best friend, his bride, Cortnee. They love to hike together, particularly in the mountains of Arkansas. They also love to run together; it is not uncommon to see them out-and-about in their neighborhood jogging. Like any two natural introverts, he and his bride love just holing up in their house on the couch with their dogs and binge watching a show or movie. Zack and Cortnee are also big sports fans and love watching and cheering for the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars, and the Arkansas Razorbacks. Also, don’t be surprised if you hear Zack reference or quote the Lord of the Rings…
